For the enjoyment and entertainment of seniors of all ages… We invite you to sponsor a barbershop harmony concert at your senior or caregiver facility! South Shore Men of Harmony is a non-profit chapter of the international Barbershop Harmony Society. We serve the greater South Shore area of Boston with quartet and chorus performances of old time, four-part, chord ringing, harmony. Your seniors will immediately relate to our familiar musical selections and will likely join in the fun by tapping, humming, singing, or harmonizing to old time favorites presented a cappella by our dedicated barbershop chorus and quartets.
Depending on your requirements, a quartet (4 singers) or full chorus (20 or more) may be appropriate. A typical concert runs about 20-40 minutes duration, at your pleasure. Selections include old time favorites, holiday music, patriotic and religious songs and a bit of barbershop style doo-wop, all performed in ringing authentic four-part barbershop style. Our music is particularly appreciated by the senior set and we would really enjoy performing for your seniors.
Call 339 205-8352 now to discuss booking your event. Barbershop singing is our hobby and while a few of us are retired, many members have regular jobs and busy lives. Consequently, weekends, evenings, and holidays offer our best availability. Depending on the charitable nature of an event, its venue, size, and other reasonable factors, we might suggest a donation ($200 or more) for a 20-40 minute concert engagement.
