That being said, we first must say that all of our prayers go out to all of you who suffered loss over the past year and a half. We are looking ahead but remembering all of those who left us. May God bless and keep all of you and your families in His Strength and Love in the times ahead.
Now, after more than a year in hiatus, the South Shore Men of Harmony have returned! We have started in-person rehearsals in Hingham at the Hingham Community Center and we are taking this restart as an opportunity to grow as a chorus and call out to all men who are interested in singing, fellowship and spreading barbershop to all would hear it! We are not professionals, but just amateurs who love to sing and love barbershop harmony. Come down on any Tuesday night and join us. Our rehearsals start at 7:30pm at the Community Center. We are singing again and want you to be part of our new start.
For those who are worried about the masking and vaccinations and such, we are all vaccinated and have agreed, as a chorus, to go without masks during rehearsal.
Soooo… The invitation has been sent out. You can RSVP on any Tuesday night in Hingham. We SING-cerely (yes I said it and meant it) look forward to seeing you!
Do you enjoy singing, even in the shower? Do you want to find out if you like singing with a chorus? Join us and try our style of barbershop close harmony singing. From beginner to professional we can expand your singing capabilities. We specialize in singing from the old standards to contemporary music. Please feel free to “drop in” to visit us for a night. It costs nothing to visit us as a guest and sing at one of our rehearsals. So come on along, come on along. . . Hope to see you at one of our shows!
Hello friends. The South Shore Men of Harmony knows that we are enduring a particularly difficult time as we endeavor to keep safe during this pandemic. We are doing our part by cancelling all our rehearsals until such time as an “all clear” is given. We love our hobby, but without you to whom we sing, it would be pointless. PLEASE STAY SAFE!! You will be in our prayers and we hope to see you again when all this is over! God bless you and keep you all in His care.
‘Tis the season of love and romance once again! And what could be more romantic than a Singing Valentine from the South Shore Men of Harmony!! For just $60, we will provide you with a barbershop quartet singing 3 (or more) love ballads for your loved one, a rose and a picture with the quartet to commemorate this happy event! Just call us at (339) 205-8352. Leave a message detailing the location and arrival time for the quartet and a callback number.
Thank you for choosing Singing Valentines with the South Shore Men of Harmony. Hope to sing for you (or with you) soon!!

Dear Senior Activities Director,
For the enjoyment and entertainment of seniors of all ages… We invite you to sponsor a barbershop harmony concert at your senior or caregiver facility! South Shore Men of Harmony is a non-profit chapter of the international Barbershop Harmony Society. We serve the greater South Shore area of Boston with quartet and chorus performances of old time, four-part, chord ringing, harmony. Your seniors will immediately relate to our familiar musical selections and will likely join in the fun by tapping, humming, singing, or harmonizing to old time favorites presented a cappella by our dedicated barbershop chorus and quartets.
Depending on your requirements, a quartet (4 singers) or full chorus (20 or more) may be appropriate. A typical concert runs about 20-40 minutes duration, at your pleasure. Selections include old time favorites, holiday music, patriotic and religious songs and a bit of barbershop style doo-wop, all performed in ringing authentic four-part barbershop style. Our music is particularly appreciated by the senior set and we would really enjoy performing for your seniors.
Call 339 205-8352 now to discuss booking your event. Barbershop singing is our hobby and while a few of us are retired, many members have regular jobs and busy lives. Consequently, weekends, evenings, and holidays offer our best availability. Depending on the charitable nature of an event, its venue, size, and other reasonable factors, we might suggest a donation ($200 or more) for a 20-40 minute concert engagement.
Love to sing? Come sing with our chorus at an open rehearsal any Tuesday evening 8pm at the Hingham Community Center 70 South St. Contact us immediately to sing familiar carols in our Christmas season programs!
Our harmonious gang at the Hingham Community Center, heavy one harmoniously righteous Man with the Bag. He fits right in, doesn’t he?
